Years after the fall of Voldemort, dark creatures have infiltrated Hogwarts, ready to harm anyone in their path. A curfew has been enforced to protect the students, but the player’s best friend, Merton, has gone missing. A Horcrux is said to be hidden within the school, and he set out to find it—never to return. The goal of the game is to find Merton while avoiding the monsters lurking in the shadows.
The Marauder’s Map allows players to detect nearby enemies within a limited range.
The Invisibility Cloak lets players move close to enemies without being seen.
However, navigating in the dark is challenging: the Lumos spell provides light, but it may also attract nearby creatures.
To enhance the game’s eerie atmosphere, eight 3D artists reworked the game’s materials and prototype. Their main constraint was to preserve the overall darkness, while having creative freedom over characters and paintings.
They also created the game’s icon and menu visuals.
This game was created as part of a group project focused on Transmedia during my second year of Game Design studies at Brassart Toulouse.
